The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) was switched on today amid hopes that finally, the secret of how the universe came into existence billions of years ago is unlocked.
A few days before its controversial launch, some quarters put a legal fight to stop it fearing that a mini-blackhole could be created once it is switched on and may tear the earth apart.
Others were expecting that finally, the Higgs Boson -- also known as the God Particle would finally be proven -- but nothing happened after today’s event, not yet.
Another major event is scheduled October 10, 2008. Will the scientists at CERN could re-create what happened a second after the Big Bang event billions of years ago? Christians believed that GOD created the heavens and the earth, and based on the Bible, Genesis happened later than what most scientists believed the age of the universe.
Will the Large Hadron Collider disprove the existence of GOD? Will it destroy our world?
