Microsoft fans have waited three years for Windows 7. With so much anticipation and clamor for a new Operating System (OS) to replace Windows Vista, most PC users are hopeful and looking forward to a unique and worthwhile computing experience. Last October 22, a global Windows 7 Launch Party was held all across the world.
There’s an optimism that this version of Windows will do well in the market with a combination of a better price and interesting new features.
Here’s what to look out from the new Windows 7:
- Large and High-Definition display capable
- Start button search
- Document libraries
- Nag-free System Tray
- Snap feature to open and resize windows
- Peek and shake gestures
- - All new taskbar and jumplist
- - Media Player now supports iTunes
- - Full 64-bit support
- - Touch screen ready and sensor support
Just a reminder though before you plunge into the Windows 7 bandwagon, you need to check on your hardware if it lives up to the system requirements and don’t forget to back-up your files prior to installing or upgrading.
With all that, can we consider it as the panacea for pc users? It’s too early to tell, after all, we have yet to wait for Service Pack 1 to keep that mill going. While waiting for it, you’ve got that tokidoki themes to keep you in a light mood.

I tried it and seems to be a better OS than the ’sucker’ Vista. Hope this time Microsoft is giving its consumers their money’s worth..
