2 hurt in SM North Edsa ceiling crash

A small portion of SM North Edsa’s Skylight glass ceiling broke hurting two persons past 2 pm on Friday.

Vice president for SM Inc’s marketing communications group Millie F. Dizon said the victims only suffered minor injuries and were immediately attended to.

One of those injured was identified as Joseph Fortuna who was brought to the Capitol Medical Center for treatment.

Chief Supt. Elmo San Diego, Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director said they are still conducting an investigation on how The ceiling on the fifth floor level gave way, a small portion of the ceiling which the SM management said would have immediately repaired.

Reports say that before the tempered glass shattered, mall maintenance crew mopped the sun roof of The Block.
