Under harsh conditions, like the bamboo, we bend, we sway and then sway back in place. We are resilient, and flexible and strong. During our darkest times, we look at the brighter side: that these things may have happened for a reason, if only to remind us about LIFE: how precious it is that no material thing can amount to its worth, how we should protect it by doing our share in saving what is left of mother nature, how humankind’s innate goodness and selflessness prevail in times of great danger, that we should see life as a gift from our Creator, something that each of us should treasure, not only by taking care of ourselves, but also by looking after one another. I hope this is the thought that resonates in our minds and in our hearts.

Patrick Swayze Succumbs to Pancreatic Cancer
By Happinay on September 15, 2009
I was, on the other hand, particularly interested in Patrick Swayze, the guy who swept a lot of girls off their feet since “Dirty Dancing” days, and up until after “Ghost”, he was considered a real “heartthrob”. Admittedly, I was one of them, and it is such sad, sad news to hear about his death. He peacefully passed away Monday after his 20-month battle with pancreatic cancer.
