Former President Fidel V. Ramos called for the resignation of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo on the advent of her decision to run as representative of the Second Congressional District of Pampanga. Citing the “inexcusably mysterious†intention of PGMA as to how she was able to come up with such decision, Ramos, who was on his way to attend conference in Australia, appealed for “equal protection of the law and equal opportunity; it also diminishes the stature of the presidency.â€
